In February, decorate your bed linen with purple

For the past few seasons, purple has been making a strong comeback in our interiors. Bold, soothing and dynamic, the color is becoming increasingly popular in decorating, offering a wide range of moods and looks. Because it brings warmth and radiance, let it enter your bedroom this February.

We've put together a few helpful hints to help you perfect your design with this original color. This is our opportunity to introduce you to our Nouvelle Vague linen bedding and its deep color, Hellébore.

PLUM, LILAC, MAUVE: WHY INTRODUCE PURPLE IN DECORATION?

Perhaps you have already encountered this term: "sedative colors". Designating colors that are conducive to soothing and falling asleep, sedative colors must be integrated into your thinking when choosing the decoration of the bedroom. In this regard, blue, green or pink are known to help sleep well. But purple, the tone that interests us today, is also part of this relaxing palette.

Symbol of spirituality in the Feng Shui philosophy, purple evokes softness, dreams and meditation. A color that perfectly justifies its presence in our interiors, and specifically in the bedroom. Thanks to a wide range of variations and shades, purple also offers multiple possibilities in terms of style and atmosphere.

Before getting started, just be sure to define the atmosphere you want to create. Classic or contemporary design: your choices will determine the intensity of purple to be favored in your interior as well as the matching colors.

HOW TO INTEGRATE IT IN THE ROOM ?

WHICH SHADES OF PURPLE TO CHOOSE?

You'll agree, a deep plum does not have the same intensity as a light lilac. While the former is sober and chic, the latter is more fresh and bright. As we said above, it is the style of the decoration that will give you the keys to choose the most appropriate shade of purple.

But whatever shade you choose, we recommend that you integrate it in small touches. This is especially true for darker colors, which should not be used as the main color in a room. Also, to avoid false steps, start by punctuating your decoration with purple notes. A light fixture, an accessory or a bed set, a combination of carefully selected pieces will give just as much relief to your night space.

COUNTLESS COLOR COMBINATIONS

Long considered a difficult color to introduce indoors, purple is also often perceived as impossible to combine with other shades. A reputation that we must restore today because, as a true chameleon, purple actually allows many combinations.

First, neutral colors allow the purple to soften or on the contrary to gain character. With white or beige, darker shades become lighter. The room gains relief without being too fancy. On the other hand, blacks and grays will give more strength to the purple which will become luxurious and elegant.

But purple has many more surprises in store, especially when used with brighter colors. Explosive with yellow or orange, the color becomes romantic with red or pink. In these situations, prefer stronger and darker intensities, to really mark the contrast and give vitality to the whole.

OUR PERFECT MODEL FOR FEBRUARY: NEW WAVE HELLEBORE

Do you know the hellebore, this delicate winter flower? Also known as the Christmas Rose, it is one of those plants that like cold periods to bloom. Blooming during winter and early spring, the hellebore inspired one of the colors of our linen bed linen Nouvelle Vague. From the multitude of shades that cover it, we chose this deep, warm purple, which is perfect for the season

In bed, this intense purple warms and gives character to the room. A feeling reinforced by the material that dresses it: linen. A local and ecological fiber, linen is known for its softness and resistance, but also for its thermoregulatory properties. Airy in summer, the material is also able to store body heat and diffuse it naturally into the sheets in winter. This makes linen the companion of your cool nights.

Like all Nouvelle Vague products, the Hellébore model is made in France. It is also certified "Origine France Garantie". A label that testifies to our commitment to a blue-white-red production, promoting know-how. A welcome boost for the textile industry.

What is special about our linen? It has been pre-washed with clear water. No chemical products are used in the manufacture of the bed linen, but a bath that delicately softens the fabric. As soon as you put them on your bed, your sheets will feel incomparably soft, and this softness will increase with each wash and night.
