What is the Origine France Garantie certification ?

We know that the origin and quality of what you consume are important. Therefore, it is essential for us to communicate transparently on the value of our products.

You may have noticed that some Alexandre Turpault products now display the "Origine France Garantie" indication. This certification, which recognizes French products and promotes local craftsmanship, ensures the traceability of the items you buy and use every day. But what does this OFG label mean for our brand? Let's find out.

ORIGINE FRANCE GARANTIE CERTIFICATION: WHAT IS IT?

Evolving in a society increasingly sensitive to commendable and committed causes, the consumer is looking for solutions to buy better, local and/or ethical. The consequence of this preoccupation is the development of labels aiming to authenticate the conformity of these articles. Their objective? Reassure the buyer by giving concrete indications on the origin of a product.

Created in June 2010, the Origine France Garantie certification works to promote more French production as well as to enhance the value of industrial and artisanal know-how. The label - issued in a purely objective manner by an independent certifying body - offers clear and precise information on the source of the products that the customer buys.

How is this certification obtained? The procedure laid down by the Pro France association, which heads the Origine France Garantie brand, requires compliance with two cumulative criteria:

BETWEEN 50 AND 100% OF THE UNIT COST PRICE IS FRENCH

In other words, it is the price of a product once it has been manufactured. It must therefore be essentially, if not entirely, French. Of course, this element takes into account the origin of production and the availability of raw materials.

THE PRODUCT TAKES ITS ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS IN FRANCE

Cultivation or breeding, preparation, transformation: the core of the product must be French. The finishing touches or packaging alone are not enough to ensure a national origin.

Organically grown products, recyclable packaging: at Alexandre Turpault, we are committed to a virtuous household linen, good for the planet. But our ambitions cannot stop there. In this sense, we also intend to present quality, comfortable and durable collections, made by experts of the textile industry. We hope, by this way, to promote the development, the maintenance and the return of these local know-how that many believed lost.

Moreover, by opting for these working methods and by requesting the "Origine France Garantie" certification, we wanted to act in complete transparency with you, the consumer. Informed about the origin of our bed linen, tablecloths and other accessories, you are reassured about the origin of our products. ALEXANDRE TURPAULT PRODUCTS "OFG"

With this newly obtained certification, several references of the fall-winter 2021 collection, Iconique, have been awarded this blue white red label! And this, we owe it, among other things, to our linen produced in France and therefore 100% local! Among the certified products, three of our linen tablecloths: OCEANIDE, in printed and embroidered linen, as well as the plain SIDERALE Olive and BARBADE.

As far as accessories are concerned, our two latest creations have now joined the list of certified products. BEL OISEAU, the tapestry cushion cover, is made on the last tapestry looms of Lille metropolis. ESTAMPE, on the other hand, is entirely French with, in particular, a local raw material - linen.

The NOUVELLE VAGUE range is also certified "Origine France Garantie". What a promise for nights in a linen made in France, of quality and madly pleasant.

How do you know that these products - and the next ones! - are certified "Origine France Garantie"? We indicate it in all letters on our product sheets but also put the logo on our packaging. A simple and clear message that you will easily recognize!
